We are artists with over 30 years experience in creating imaginative and atmospheric illustrations for print, screen, web and app use. These have been for museums, visitor centres and trusts, as well as for publishers specialising in academic books, journals and magazines. We continue to submit artwork to the Science Photo Library in London, and through them, our work is syndicated around the world. We have specialised in producing historical based illustrations and we pride ourselves in providing an accurate as possible reconstruction of a site/landscape/building as can be known from the research data made available to us.
A benefit of having a 3D digital model of a site means that you can illustrate it from any angle and we ensure that the lighting of the scene matches reality, so that any shadows etc. will fall as they would do in the real world environment.
Technology these days allows us to create a 360 degree image that places the viewer in the centre of the scene. They can then pan around the image, looking all about them as though really there, looking about.
The images can either be CGI or photographs.
We have created an image of a motte and bailey, surrounded by a moat which is fed from a nearby river.
This is a photo taken from the bottom of the
Pant Y Pwll Dwr quarry, in North Wales.
